Here’s what’s new:
As you can see, this release is all about core gameplay systems, and it doesn’t include any new story content at all.
Working on the game’s story without having all the necessary mechanics implemented is inefficient at best and impossible at worst, so that’s why I decided to dedicate this (and the next) update to laying a solid foundation for Chapter 1.
Still, I think there are at least two cool additions to the game that you might enjoy playing with (and I would certainly enjoy reading your feedback): the character screen (accessible from the left pane) and the resist minigame (accessible from the changelog).
The main purpose of the character screen is to show your character’s body. I went with a wireframe design because, at least in my opinion, it leaves plenty of room for imagination (and role-playing) while clearly showing how your character looks like.
The resist minigame will be available whenever AVA decides to force a certain feminizing choice upon the player. The minigame has three difficulties: normal, hard, impossible. The difficulty increases whenever you experience gender dysphoria in the game as a result of your gender identity not reflecting your physical body. To lower the difficulty, you must either transform your body or adjust or change your gender identity to reflect your current body.
A plan to implement at least two other variations on the minigame so that it doesn’t become too repetitive, but probably not until we reach Chapter 2.
That’s all for me now. I hope you enjoy this update and — as always — thank you for your support!
Thanks for sharing this, it’s intersting to read 🙂
(PS : I sent you 5-6 bug issues to fix via your google forms in case you didn’t saw it)
Thank you so much! I plan an intense bug-squashing session before the release of the next version, and your helpful feedback will definitely make life easier for me.
